Laced up!!

Hi Everyone! Hope you guys are gearing up for the upcoming holidays and the festivities around the corner. This is the time when you start meeting friends and family members because you are so busy the entire year. That’s no excuse though. So for meeting an old friend I put together an all black ensemble.

As you know, I have been obsessed with lace pieces off lately, so I put together this outfit for the sheer joy of it. I paired this lace crop top with my good old skort with chunky heels, they are not just stylish but also comfortable for taking a stroll around. This was one of the greatest weekend we had. Oh boy, old memories, great conversations over indo-Chinese food was the best way to end our day. so are you guys in for all black? or how the kids say it these days.. are you digging it? 😉

Pleated skirt and graphic tee

Hi Everyone, Hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far!

Today, I have put together elegance and fun… PLEATED SKIRT with a GRAPHIC TEE!!! Whenever I think of a pleated skirt, it reminds me of my school days. The only difference is that the pleated skirts in schools use to be really short 😉 and this one right here is a long one. The pleats are very close to each other giving it the volume and condensed look at the same time. The texture of the skirt is silky, apt for the weather and also liked the fact that the length of this skirt is absolutely perfect. Its neither too long like a maxi skirt, nor feels like a midi skirt. Added little drama with the cutout booties and tribal neck piece, a subtle dose of color through my cross body bag. Enjoy the pictures.

Thank you for reading. Stay Blessed!

Casual Sunday : Stripes & Skort

Hello Everyone!

Who so ever said black and white is boring, did not see these cute little pieces coming in style. I styled this black and white stripe t-shirt with a semi structured wrap skort for a fun Sunday! There have been a lot of changes in my life since my last post. I visited India last month for my sister in law’s Wedding (A post on summery Indian wedding wear coming up soon) so kinda had a big break from office, cooking and blogging. I had a wonderful time with family and friends, the weather was not the best but who cares I got to dress up, dance and eat with my loved ones. Apart from that, I have partly moved to Chicago which is new! So I am getting familiar with the neighborhood and looking forward to what else God has planned for me ahead. Well, this was just a short recap of last few months.

Anyway, back to outfit, no brainer. I was craving for stripes for a long time and when I got the opportunity to wear it..I just did.. lol. I have already got so many compliments on this skirt plus short and couldn’t wait to style it again. I opted for Red lip color to intensify the whole look. Loved loved these white sandals and the best part you can make them sexy, formal wear and cute as per your apparels 🙂 Thank you so much for reading!

Going the analogous route…

Hi Everyone!

Today we are playing with neighbor colors mainly those are adjacent to each other on color wheel , known as Analogous Color Scheme. There is no hard and fast rule to combine the colors from same family but the key is to balance out the accent of each color; you are choosing to put up in an Outfit.

Who does not like colors? I can’t debate the subtle versus bright color choices but I usually just pick what I feel that day. On this particular day I was feeling chic 😉 . This Pink scarf is super cozy and warm, matchy-matchy with my minimalist pink shoes. Just love them! I kept the Crimson Red as the dominating color and other shades as the supporting colors. This blush pink t-shirt is more like a balance to whole color scheme, you can also try off white/white. Finished up the look with Pink lip color and oversize clutch!

Colors in Winter : Mixing Plaid

Hi Everyone, Trust all is well!

I have been ignoring my little blog for a while now, but I seriously miss blogging at times. Although I hate winter and never enjoyed shooting pictures when its below 0deg F outside. Luckily, This weekend we got a chance to click some pictures when my Hubby planned an Italian lunch out and the weather was pleasant enough. Anyway, My love for delicate pieces never fades away, especially when it comes to lace. As much as I adore the lace pieces, I also think that a plaid coat is equally timeless and must have piece for your winter wardrobe.

Combined the Red and Pink combo underneath a Blue plaid coat for a complimentary contrast. These fleece tights are best to keep you warm. You can double up the fleece for extra warmth. I finished up the look with Mac’s ruby woo lip color And statement jewelry!

Leather Love

Hello guys! Hope you all are having a lot of fun and happy moments.

Today, Its all about leather pieces. This one piece does wonder to your whole look. First of all,  just DO NOT be afraid of trying it. I used to be so scared with leather stuff in past but believe me its worth trying! I started with this biker jacket which I absolutely adore. I love all the small detailing on this. Because I love mixing soft and tough pieces, I styled it with this polka dress. You can opt for a lace dress too for a semi soft look.

Second look is not a brainer either. I kept the color blocking theme with this soft leather panel leggings.

Last but not the least “the leather pants”. It’s so chic and edgy that you can team it with any tops/tees you have. Throw in a statement bag or neck pieces, bracelets to complete the look!

Hope you like them all! Thank you for stopping by.

Quilted skirt and cutout pattern

Hello guys, trust all is well! I hope all the Indian ladies had a great karvachauth this year with the beautiful outfits, jewellery and the best person in your life!

I think I do justice to the skirts always 😉 So, here it is an elegant and sharp look..

Pairing my black mock neck top with this beautiful quilted skirt. I ordered this skirt online a few weeks ago and fell in love when I saw it in person. The fabric is so soft, semi structured and the color is very subtle. Patterned up with the cutout design heels to add little sharpness to the whole look. I love these shoes a lot because of its sharp silhouette and pointed shape. Finished up the look with my colored clutch. That ear cuff was the icing on the cake!

Fashionable Fall

Hoodies, jackets, hot chocolate, boots, flushed cheeks.

I live for Autumn!! hooray!!!

How are you doing guys? Excited for fall? I certainly am… Felt the chill running down your spine yet? tried spice pumpkin latte? Well autumn beats every season for me.  While days are getting colder, I am getting lazy lately. While my husband gets up early to hit the gym, I wave my hand at him and still struggle to get out of the bed. Yes lazy me!

When you see every leave turning like a flower you know fall is here… I am still waiting for that. I welcomed the season with these super stylish knee boots, absolutely must have piece ladies! Paired up with a silk tunic. I personally love this tunic and often pair it with some tights or leggings. Since this is little loose on me , I threw a structured jacket so I don’t loose the shape and keep my self warmer. Surprisingly, I am wearing all H&M from top to bottom! minus the accessories.

So guys do you have your list ready for fall fashion? What’s in your mind shopping this season? My first search is on for a Leather jacket and a leather pants too!!
